Converter Accessories has added the new FX 1.5 to its family of Fox Trim­Away and Fox Runner venturi trim removal systems. Requested by customers looking for another option, the FX1.5 is significantly smaller than the FX2 and less costly. The FX1.5 can handle up to two inch wide trim at speeds to 2000 feet per minute, while the larger FX2 can run at speeds to 6000 fpm. In installations where 2000 fmp is an optimal speed, the FX1.5’s small size contributes to its unobtrusive installation in locations that would not accommodate a larger system and also offers more energy efficiency. The company describes FX1.5 as a cost effective alternative that should prove very attractive, especially to OEM’s. All Fox TrimAway systems are engineered for efficient trim removal during production or converting of most web materials including, paper, film, foil, board, nonwovens and textiles.
